  • Are there any side effects to stem cell treatments?

    Since the procedure uses stem cells derived from your own fat (autologous), the risk of rejection is minimized. However, once the stem cells are introduced into the body, mild immune and regenerative responses may occur. As a result, some patients may occasionally experience symptoms that can feel like side effects, such as mild cold-like symptoms or muscle aches. These symptoms are typically temporary and usually subside within 1-2 days, so there is no need for significant concern.

Precautions

  • Please abstain from smoking and drinking alcohol for at least 2 weeks after the procedure.
  • It is recommended to avoid steroids, anti-inflammatory drugs, and medicated patches (pain relief patches) for at least 2 weeks, as they can interfere with the regeneration and activation of stem cells.
  • Please avoid taking aspirin-based medications for about 2 weeks, as they can hinder blood flow.
  • If you are currently taking herbal medicine (Han-yak), please inform the medical staff before the stem cell procedure.
