• I want to know the precautions before the procedure!

  1. Please refrain from using sweat suppressants (such as deodorants) starting 2-3 days before the procedure. 2. If there are any skin conditions (such as folliculitis or warts) on the treatment area, receive the procedure only after treatment. 3. Shave both armpits 4-6 days before the procedure. It is better if the hair has slightly grown, as this allows the doctor to better identify the treatment area.

• Will there be scars after the procedure?

  The miraDry Fresh procedure is non-invasive and does not involve any incisions. It delivers cooling energy to minimize skin damage, so no scars are formed.

• How satisfied are patients after the procedure?

  The study results showed an average 82% reduction in sweat glands after the procedure and over 90% patient satisfaction.

• Can I see results with just one treatment?

  In most cases, a single treatment can deliver satisfactory results. However, if sweating and odor are severe or if higher results are expected, a second treatment may be necessary. Satisfaction tends to be higher after completing the second treatment.

• If the underarms are not shaved, is the procedure not available on the same day?

  The reason we recommend shaving 4-6 days before the procedure is to allow sufficient recovery time in case any cuts occur while shaving. If you haven’t shaved, the hospital will carefully shave the area to avoid skin injuries, and the procedure can still be performed on the same day.

• Is the procedure possible if I’ve had other underarm surgery?

  Even if you have undergone treatments for hyperhidrosis, bromhidrosis, or breast surgery, the procedure may still be possible. However, in such cases, the doctor will first assess the condition of your skin to determine whether the procedure can proceed.

• Mild swelling, throbbing or stinging discomfort, and temporary changes in sensation (numbness) in the underarm or surrounding area may occur after the procedure, but these symptoms typically subside shortly and are not a cause for concern.
• After the procedure, please apply antibiotic ointment to the treated area and take antibiotics for at least three days to prevent infection.
• After the procedure, please avoid exposing your underarms to prevent the risk of infection in swimming pools, saunas, or the beach.
• Please avoid strenuous activities, exercise, and overexertion for one week after the procedure. Excessive activity or fatigue may slow down the recovery process.
• After the procedure, please wash the treated area thoroughly twice a day, in the morning and evening, using a mild liquid soap.
